When most kids in their early elementary school years are asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, most respond with “I want to be an astronaut!” or “I want to be a princess!” As we get older, we start to set more realistic goals for ourselves. However, a large majority still do not have any idea what they desire to be, which is totally fine! For me, I am the exact opposite, as I know exactly what I want to do right out of school. For me, I would like to attend Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY right after high school to major in Communications, while minoring in Journalism and Broadcasting. This idea of studying Communications did not even come to me until this past summer. Now, the whole idea is the biggest dream I have for myself. After college, I would love to stay in New York, preferably New York City as it is my favorite place. My dream job would to be working at a major news station as a on-air anchor or a on-location reporter. If that did not work out, I would like to be working as a journalist for a major web site/newspaper, or even work in Public Relations with a large company. I believe that these goals can be met with hard-work and dedication, which are skills I think I possess. It may be difficult with the workload, but when has a little sweat and stress killed anybody?
